Tamiya recently teamed up with Takara to produce a set of 30th anniversary Tamiya Q-Steer remote controlled cars. These 1:10 remote controlled cars are unique because they use the innovative Q-Steer technology to operate. Q-Steer uses infrared technology instead of the traditional radio control for the communication between the remote and the car.

The Q-Steer remote controller features a basic six-point movement pad and as well as several other buttons that control functions such as power and what infrared channel the remote is using.
